About Irene Vincent

Irene Vincent was born in Rochester, New York, USA in the early 1950’s. She went to a number of colleges, but finally graduated from Florida International University in 1976 with a BFA in painting with a minor in philosophy. In 1976, she move to Southern California with her partner Ron, and opened a jewelry and art boutique from which to earn a living while she followed her passion for art.

Irene never even considered writing a book, but in 1984, she met a yogini and teacher named Swami Radha. She praised Irene for becoming a financially independent woman after having spent most of her early life in poverty, but worked her way through college. Swami Radha told Irene that she had many students that were artists that struggled to pay their rent and feed themselves, because of their passion to earn a living through their art. Then they would get depressed and go into a down word cycle. They didn’t realize that they could  create a balanced life style. So Swami Radha planted the seed that it was Irene’s duty to help and inspire other artists to see another path for their creative freedom.

So, around 2009, Irene bit the bullet, and started writing her first book of a memoir trilogy, Revealing the Evolution of an Artist’s Soulwhich she published in 2012 after at least eight edits and rewrites. Irene said she experienced writing like a painting in that it was creatively fun giving words and sentences structure and life.

In 2015 while Irene was living in beautiful, yet ever so gloomy  Port Townsend, Washington, she decided to write the second book, of her memoir trilogy covering a profound seven year period of her life.  Awakening Love’s Vibrations was published in 2018.

Irene has started the third book of her trilogy during  the covid lock down and finished about six chapters. However, she also got passionately involved, or shall we say obsessed with finishing eleven detailed paintings. Then life took over and gave her poison ivy on her hands and all over her body that resulted in a blood infection. After recovering, she sold her home in Sedona where she had rented a room as an airbnb. Once all her things were in storage, she traveled to Bali for two months where it was easy to wholly heal.

When she returned, it was difficult finding a new home. And it was difficult finding and getting to her art supplies in the storage unit. Even though she loaded it towards the end it still got buried along with a tub of writings, journals, and information for her third book. Wonderful friends rented her a small apartment underneath their home in Cornville, AZ. while she searched for a new home. As she sat at her computer, she thought about all the wonderful people who came through her airbnb. She especially loved it when they were interested in all her favorite topics, such as, art, dreams, healing, spirituality and astrology. She remembered how she would show her system to them, for writing and interpreting dreams. And she could see they were happy at learning something new and helpful. Also every time Irene packed her clothes, her journal added too much weight to her suitcase, so out it went. Then she would take a few pieces of folded paper on which to write her dreams. That is why she decided to design a dream journal that was easy to travel with and would be designed the way, she changed each page in her journals every day.  And it would have prompts so she would remember all the things that helped her interpret dreams. So in early 2024, her Dream Life Journals were born. She will write more about each book on her individual books’ pages.
